Hailing from Surrey BC, folk singer/songwriter CocoLarosa is a marine mechanic by day, and troubadour of unquestionable dexterity in the verbal arena by night.
Compared to the likes of Chris Stapleton, Tom Waits, and Jack Johnson (if he smoked a pack a day), Coco’s music explores themes of nostalgia, desperation, and sass. Forever drawing listeners in with his rhythmically bombastic and lyrically driven storytelling.
This year's performance highlights include a sold out showcase at Bez Arts Hub (Langley 2024), a headlining act at Mission Coffee House Concert Series (Mission 2024), and playing multiple sets at Surrey’s renowned Fusion Festival (Surrey 2024).
Earlier this year CocoLarosa won the Fraser Valley Music Awards Fan Vote Award and was nominated for Folk/Roots Artist of the Year 2024.
During spring of 2024 Coco released “Bottom of the Slough,” his first studio recording backed by a full band.
Bouncy baselines and stunning choral harmonies accompany Coco's gritty vocals in this upbeat indie folk track.
Recorded at 5 Feet Under Studios in Surrey.

"From the first gutsy growl I was hooked as CocoLarosa spewed a melodic rant about his fellow shipyard workers and their tall tales on the Fraser River - his driving acoustic guitar chugging along like a diesel in the hull of a tug.
Some of CocoLarosa’s songs are like mini operas with mythical characters and dubious motives, and others are rapid pace political tirades of epic proportion."
- Russ Rosen, Artistic Director at Bez Arts Hub 2024
